I guess it don't really matter about the success of a movie,when it's dealing with hiphop. The Oscar's are definitely not a factor to certain people anyway. Just don't be late with the money that was made from this project. We don't need validation from a group of people who doesn't want to see us win on a major scale anyway. Let the the score board be the validation in this instance. It's clear,we are winning and this open up a lot more doors to other films of this nature. Success is all that matters.
